Current reads from Grady Hendrix, Cixin Liu, Oscar Zarate & Richard Appignanesi, and Christopher McGlothlin. Perhaps not current releases but the TBR pile is all about playing catch-up and increasing my anxiety. Believe me, contemplating existentialism for a while, you can face all the other horrors.

Now available! It contains so many phenomenal contributions plus three of my poems! Published by Barrio Blues Press – edited by Jesú Estrada – cover by Phrique !
I’ve been remiss about posting current reads but I did take this photo last week. I have since finished Elegy for Opportunity by Natalie Lim and something unmentionable by Mike Ennenbach, both fantastic. I am still reveling in Camp Damascus by Chuck Tingle and All the Worst Humans: How I Made News for Dictators, Tycoons, and Politicians by Phil Elwood.

But really I’m celebrating with a walk on the beach after sending off a 2,500 word story which I managed to write and edit this weekend. I haven’t been that productive in a while. Plus the story lies at the intersection of baseball and body horror. Summer is in the air!

Did I sell a book to my bartender? Yes I did.

I took all of three photos at Stokercon. The photos below feature Darrell Schweitzer, whom I had not spoken with in decades, and Bitter Karella, new spokesperson for BuzzBallz, official sponsor of Stokercon. The third photo is on the timeline of Stephen Kozeniewski, recently appointed HWA Treasurer nominee.

What are you reading with coffee today? Thanks Brian Keene for the crossword and the other stuff, too.
