I’ve been remiss about posting current reads but I did take this photo last week. I have since finished Elegy for Opportunity by Natalie Lim and something unmentionable by Mike Ennenbach, both fantastic. I am still reveling in Camp Damascus by Chuck Tingle and All the Worst Humans: How I Made News for Dictators, Tycoons, and Politicians by Phil Elwood.

Pretty cool picture of my Dad, timely since I’m picking up a new car tomorrow. He’s looking better doing it though.

The wind is up and the kiteboarders are aloft.

Hanging out on Hanging Rock

But really I’m celebrating with a walk on the beach after sending off a 2,500 word story which I managed to write and edit this weekend. I haven’t been that productive in a while. Plus the story lies at the intersection of baseball and body horror. Summer is in the air!

Did I sell a book to my bartender? Yes I did.

And there go the boats to open water.

There is a tear in the sky at sunset here in Newport.
