Ornaments of memory
On the left are the ornaments Suzanne gave me 39 years ago. We had been dating just a couple months and she had started asking me all sorts of left field questions. They elicited enough information for her to craft this beautiful collection which perfectly fit the very tiny tree in my apartment. I later learned that they were intended as a breakup gift, but something I said or did put that on hold. A few years later Suzanne wanted to add a handmade menorah made from her leftover clay. I may have said, “I’ve seen a lot of menorahs now, but never a dragon one.” Merry Christmas!
Ukuleles past
From my first ukulele Christmas. Suzanne captured this bizarrely interesting moment- probably just joking with Dave T., who was responsible for me playing with the group. I like to think we were considering ending the last song with an all-out Who freak-out. I’m out of commission this year, but hoping to return in January.
